    Job Title

    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

    Location

    Council Bluffs, IA | Inpatient / Outpatient

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Rotating holiday coverage with permanent staff

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform 30–40 respiratory treatments and patient checks per shift across multiple care areas including ER, ICU, floors, pediatrics, L&D, nursery, OR, PACU, and sleep lab
    • Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and occasionally perform EKGs
    • Assist with intubation procedures as needed
    • Manage and operate ventilators and respiratory equipment including Drager, A40, LTV, Avea, V-60, and Vapotherm devices
    • Care for a diverse patient population including adults, pediatric, and newborn patients presenting with conditions such as STEMI, CVA, COVID, EKOS, cardiac arrest, and IABP
    • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to support departmental coverage needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred but not required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with neonatal and pediatric respiratory care
    • Familiarity with high-acuity settings including ICU and L&D/nursery environments
    • Experience operating a broad range of ventilator platforms (Drager, Avea, LTV, V-60, Vapotherm)
    • NRP certification
