Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including NICU and PICU populations
• Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostic procedures within scope of practice
• Participate in a self-scheduling model; schedule accommodations are made on a best-effort basis and a desired schedule cannot be guaranteed
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including time-off and assignment duration requirements

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Active Virginia Respiratory Therapy license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the start date — candidate must hold an active license in at least one other state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
