Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including neonatal and pediatric critical care units
• Deliver care to NICU patients requiring Level 4 NICU-level respiratory support
• Support cardiac PICU patients as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Adhere to self-scheduling model while meeting unit coverage requirements

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date — a license in at least one other state is required to be eligible for a temporary VA license
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) credential preferred
