Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including NICU and PICU populations
• Deliver patient care across assigned units, floating within scope of practice as needed
• Participate in a self-scheduling model; scheduling preferences will be accommodated to the extent possible but are not guaranteed
• Adhere to all unit-specific policies, compliance requirements, and facility protocols
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned (up to 16 non-billable hours during orientation)

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active Virginia Respiratory Therapist license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the Wednesday prior to the start date — must hold a license in at least one other state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
