    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | Onsite | Schedule operates on either a Monday–Thursday team or a Friday–Sunday team; specific hours will be noted at time of assignment. Holiday rotation shared with permanent staff; every other holiday may be expected.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizer treatments, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and CPT
    • Serve as first responder for patient intubation; comfort and experience with intubation is required
    • Manage ventilators (Servo U and I models), interpret ABGs, alert on critical values, and make vent management recommendations in the ICU setting
    • Place and manage arterial lines and perform bronchoscopies in the ICU (A-line training provided on-site)
    • Manage a high-volume workload of approximately 13–15 patients per shift, with an expected 550 minutes of treatment time per shift
    • May serve in a Charge RT or Clinical Coordinator role; document and chart using Meditech EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • RRT credential required
    • Active Georgia state respiratory therapy license required
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NRP required if assigned to NICU
    • Minimum 2 years of experience, with critical care (adult ICU) experience required
    • At least 1 prior travel contract required
    • Experience in a facility with 300+ beds required
    • Must be comfortable with intubation and high-volume, high-acuity workloads
    • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Servo ventilators (U and I models)
    • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
    • Experience managing common disease processes such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and oncology-related respiratory conditions
    • Confidence in vent management decision-making and critical value communication with clinical teams
