Description

American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of Level III/IV NICU experience.

Details

• Work in a Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a pediatric teaching hospital
• Also supports Pediatric Critical Care settings
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Floating to different units required for most positions depending on assignment needs
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillator care
• Administers medication delivery via nebulizer, MDI, and aerosol setups for mask and trach
• Provides airway management including intubation assist, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administers Nitric Oxide (iNO) medication

Requirements

• Active RRT certification required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Ohio state RRT license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisor or manager
• Skilled in neonatal/pediatric equipment including CPAP, Nasal CPAP, BiPAP, and oscillating ventilators
• Experienced in airway suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy management

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in a teaching hospital setting
• Be prepared to float across units depending on assignment needs
• Candidates who worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not eligible for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
