Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist- Perform adult critical care
- Assist with intubation and extubation
- Manage and care for tracheostomy
- Provide nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning
- Collect sputum specimens
- Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Utilize high flow nasal cannula, T-piece, Trach collar, BiPAP, and CPAP
Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist- Active NY License required
- BLS Certification
- RRT Certification (CRT not acceptable)
- 2+ years of recent respiratory therapy experience
