Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatric ICU | Travel Contract

Washington, DC
Level I Pediatric Trauma Center | Teaching & Magnet Hospital
Position: Pediatric RRT
Shift: Days | 3x12s | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Travel Experience: Required
Locals Accepted at Travel Rate

Key Requirements

Pediatric ICU-trained RRT required
Experience in PICU, NICU, CICU, or Pediatric ED/Trauma
Minimum 1 year experience required
3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
DC RRT License required — pending accepted (processing may take 6–8 weeks)
RRT, BLS & PALS required before start
NRP preferred

Schedule

3 or 4 shifts/week
36 guaranteed hours/week
Every other weekend required
No call
No block scheduling
May float within scope only; no sister-facility floating

Ventilator management: BiPAP, CPAP, HFOV
Mechanical ventilation weaning & troubleshooting
ABG interpretation
HFNC & oxygen therapy

Nitric Oxide
Pulmonary hygiene
Pediatric/neonatal CPAP & BiPAP
