Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment in a high-acuity hospital setting requiring RRT certification and 2+ years of experience.

Details

  • Work in the Respiratory Services department of an acute care hospital
  • Adult, NICU, and pediatric service lines covered by staff
  • Patient ratios range from 10 to 25
  • Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
  • Cerner EMR used
  • Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Varying weekend shifts required, at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Floating required to all critical care units and floors

Requirements

  • Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required
  • North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • NRP certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Professional references required (2 for FL and MO, 1 for all other states)

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, NICU, and pediatric patient populations
  • Work within a large respiratory therapy team supporting day and night shift coverage
  • Scrub color requirement is medium gray/pewter
  • Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • Hospital is a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and home to a Level III NICU
