Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level II trauma center offering comprehensive stroke and NICU services.

Details

  • Work in the Respiratory Services department supporting Adult, NICU, and Pediatric service lines
  • Patient ratios range from 10-25
  • Utilizes GE R860 Adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 Non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
  • Cerner EMR used for charting
  • Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Varying weekend requirement of at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Floating required to all Critical Care units and floors

Requirements

  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • NRP certification preferred
  • North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory care services across Adult, NICU, and Pediatric patient populations
  • Part of a larger respiratory therapy team of approximately 120 staff members
  • Scrub color requirement is Medium Gray/Pewter
  • Located at a Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke center and Level III NICU designation
  • Facility holds Magnet® Designation for nursing excellence
  • Does not accept local candidates
  • 50-mile radius rule applies
