Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Night Shift Ottumwa, IA. This position requires a qualified respiratory therapist with pediatric and neonatal experience to provide critical respiratory care in a level VI trauma facility. The role includes performing patient assessments, implementing treatments and therapies, and managing invasive and non-invasive equipment during night shifts.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/05/2026 to 11/13/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Iowa State Respiratory Care Practitioner license in hand at time of submission, NBRC credentials as CRT or RRT, current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, pediatric and neonatal experience, valid Iowa SING background check clearance (criminal and child abuse clearance), mandatory reporter certification (child and adult), drug test including 10-panel screening with opiates.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk deliveries, invasive and non-invasive equipment, high critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in pediatric and neonatal care.
- Additional Information: The role covers adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations, with an emphasis on pediatric and neonatal care. The unit features specialized equipment including V-60/VOCSN/Hamilton ventilators, Vapotherm, and Airvo2. The candidate must be able to attend to a high-risk delivery environment and implement various therapies effectively.
