Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) specializing in neonatal and pediatrics will provide respiratory care services within a regional health center located in Ottumwa, Iowa. This position involves working primarily during the day shift, with a focus on delivering critical respiratory support to a diverse patient population, including adults, geriatrics, and potentially micro-premies to hospice patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Iowa State Background Check with Child and Adult Abuse Clearances; mandatory reporter certification; Drug Test with a 10-panel screening including opiates; 1-2 years of relevant experience; ability to start between Monday or Tuesday
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal and pediatric patients, familiarity with ventilators including VOCSN Ventilators and V60 Bipaps, and working within a hospital setting
  • Job Responsibilities: Provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, operate advanced ventilator equipment, collaborate with healthcare team members, and ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility if required. The position is a contractor replacement and is eligible for consideration if candidates reside 60 miles or more from the facility.
