Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in a hospital setting. This role involves providing respiratory care for pediatric patients, including NICU Level II B, MICU, Peds, and adults, across various hospital departments. The position requires flexibility to float between specialties such as ICU, MICU, MS- Tele, ER, and PACU, with responsibilities including ABGs, respiratory treatments, and equipment management. The schedule is nights, with shifts lasting 12 hours, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (AHA) certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience; located outside 50-mile radius of the facility; able to float across hospital departments including ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, ER, and PACU; comfortable with pediatric and adult respiratory care; willing to work weekends, holidays, and respond to call within 30 minutes.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NICU Level II B, managing deliveries, initiating Cpap, and stabilizing pediatric patients in ER.
  • Additional Information: Must complete approximately 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor, covering NICU/General and ICU. Candidates may be asked to float within sister facilities, including locations approximately 10-14 miles away. Notification of shift changes requires at least 60 minutes' notice. The hospital uses EPIC for charting and requires a BSN to participate.
