Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Boise. This position involves providing respiratory therapy services in adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care units within the healthcare organization. The role requires managing treatments, equipment, transport, and ABGs for inpatient populations, with a focus on pediatric and adult critical care.

Job Details:

  • Position Description: Respiratory Therapist providing adult, pediatric, and NICU care in an inpatient hospital setting. RTs may cover adult floors as well as pediatric units, including Level III NICU.
  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: ACLS, BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy required.
  • Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: RTs for pediatric floors will also cover adult patients, and those working in NICU should be experienced with NAVA on Cervo ventilators. RTs will assist with equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs but will not perform EKGs. There is a hospitalist or intensivist available 24/7, with leads on each shift. RT equipment includes Draeger vents for adults, Servo U for pediatrics, and other high-flow devices. Orientation includes 2-3 shifts specific to unit coverage, with the possibility of floating to nearby medical centers.
