Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in the PCU/step-down setting, including monitoring clinical status and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments; assess and document patient responses
- Monitor vital signs, labs, imaging results, and hemodynamic status; assist with invasive procedures as ordered
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans; participate in rounds and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and infection control standards
- Coordinate with case management and ancillary staff; facilitate patient transfers and education; float to nearby units as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a compact license valid for NH (NURSYS verification required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
- 2+ years of recent PCU/step-down or comparable adult inpatient experience
- EMR experience; Cerner experience preferred but not required
- Skills checklist specific to PCU specialty; ability to work 12-hour night shifts and travel assignments
- Up-to-date resume including travel experience; RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
