This travel opening is for a Med Surg RN at a STACH in the Portland metro area. EPIC electronic medical record experience is required. The assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for a patient group on the medical-surgical unit using the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform assessments, and respond to changes in condition
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, and develop and adjust care plans to meet outcomes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families to provide safe, holistic care
- Document care and patient information in the Epic EMR with accuracy and timeliness
- Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and coordination with other services
- Delegate appropriately and supervise assigned nursing staff and supportive personnel
- Maintain a safe, healing environment, promote infection prevention, and adhere to professional standards
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (state of assignment)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience; Med Surg preferred
- Certifications: BLS (basic life support) or CPR per AH policy; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required
- EPIC experience: Proficiency with the Epic EMR required
- Education: BSN preferred
- Additional: Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and commit to the 13-week assignment with guaranteed hours
- Other: Must meet facility credentialing requirements and be able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
