Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with recent specialty experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications for a 12-hour day shift position.

Details

• Work in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) on the ground floor
• Unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Cases include thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery, with higher acuity cases handled on this unit
• Unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week, scheduled Monday through Friday 10a-1030p
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Unit covered by call on holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience within the PACU specialty required
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia care to surgical patients across multiple specialties
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Returning staff who were previously permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning as travelers
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
