Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with recent post-anesthesia experience and Cerner proficiency for a 12-hour shift position.

Details

Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the ground floor
Unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Patient population includes Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General surgery cases
Higher acuity cases are managed on this unit
Unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
On-call coverage is required for holidays
Uses Cerner EMR system

Requirements

Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

Provide post-anesthesia nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties
Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break in service
RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
