Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift float pool role requiring BLS/ACLS and 2+ years of experience at a similarly high-acuity facility.

Details

• Float pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain patients
• Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower acuity patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required in a similarly sized, high-acuity facility
• Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations required
• Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required

Additional Information

• Works within a Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Minimal RTO allowed during the contract
