Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring TX or compact RN license and 2 years of experience with MS/Tele and critical care patients.

Details

• Newly opened PCU supporting MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patients
• Floating to these units required during low census periods
• MS/Tele patient ratio of 6:1; Critical Care ratio of 2:1
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• 13 week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC/TCAR certification required (may obtain within 30 days of starting if not already certified)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for medical-surgical/telemetry, progressive care, and critical care patients as needed
• Skills include IV therapy, arterial and central line management, ventilator care, cardiac monitoring, and titration of vasoactive drips
• Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, craniotomy, and intracranial bleeds preferred
• Familiarity with cardiovascular procedures including TAVR, pacemakers, and post cardiac surgery care
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing
