Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN with critical care and PCU/stepdown experience to support a newly opened PCU unit and float to MS/Tele and critical care areas as needed.

Details

• Work in the ICU, supporting a newly opened PCU unit
• Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patients, with floating to these units during low census
• MS/Tele ratio of 6:1; Critical Care ratio of 2:1
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
• 13-week assignment length
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC or TCAR certification required, or must obtain within 30 days of starting if not already held
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with critical care skills such as arterial line management, central line care, ventilator care, and cardiac drip titration

Additional Information

• Provide care for a range of complex patients including neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, and post-surgical cases
• Skills such as EVD management, post-TPA care, TAVR, and hemodialysis management are relevant to this role
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial consideration for the position
