Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active MA RN license and prior telemetry/PCU experience.

Details

  • Cardiac Tele PCU unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5
  • Float required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks
  • 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week over an 8-week assignment
  • Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
  • Weekly Monday start dates

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • BLS-AHA certification required
  • ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Must be able to titrate pressors
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required for candidates without prior travel experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must complete day one pass/fail testing including Tele/ECG and Medication Test

Additional Information

  • Provide progressive care nursing services to cardiac telemetry patients
  • Care for patients requiring pressor titration and close cardiac monitoring
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
  • Required vaccinations include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
  • First-time travelers will be considered, though Level 1 trauma experience is required if no prior travel history
