Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active MA RN license and pressor titration experience.

Details

• Cardiac Tele Progressive Care Unit setting
• 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Fri/Sat/Sun for nights)
• Patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5
• Floating required in 4-hour blocks to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS-AHA certification required
• ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 6 months separation from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility required for prior employees (perm, per diem, or contract)
• Must be able to titrate pressors
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred, required if no prior travel nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Care for cardiac telemetry and progressive care patients with floating responsibilities to other units as needed
• Day one pass/fail testing administered, including Tele/ECG and medication tests, with Relias practice tests available
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (with booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Weekly start dates on Mondays
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates without prior travel experience will be considered if they meet Level 1 trauma requirements
