**Join Our Dynamic Cardiovascular Care Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - **Unit:** 4Heart, Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) - **Location:** Asheville, NC - **Floor:** E4 - CVPC - **Building:** E Heart Tower - **Number of Beds:** 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds - **Total Staff:** Approximately 100 - **Patient Population:** - Engage with patients recovering from: - CV surgery and vascular surgery (open heart surgery, thoracic lung surgery) - Esophagogastrectomy - AAA (open and endovascular) - Carotid endarterectomies - Overflow medical cardiology patients (heart failure, DKA, chest pain, sepsis, heart block, etc.) - **Staffing Overview:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 charge RN (routinely out of staffing) - 13 RNs - 4 PCTs - 1.33 HUC - **Night Shift:** - 1 charge RN (routinely out of staffing) - 13 RNs - 4 PCTs - 0.33 HUC - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:5 patients per RN - 1:13 for PCTs - **Essential Skills and Experience:** - **Must Have:** - Stepdown experience - Telemetry experience - **Preferred:** - Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience (within the last year) - CVICU experience - **Typical Procedures:** - Epidural management - Chest tube management - Tube feedings - IV gluccomander - Cardiac gtt management (phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, ketamine) - **Best Personality Fit:** - Team player - Thrives in a fast-paced environment - Flexible and adaptable - **Required Certifications:** - ACLS and BLS - **Floating Areas:** - Any SD (1:5 ratios) or MS (1:6-7 ratios) unit - ER inpatient holding area (1:6) - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: All navy, white tops/navy bottoms, or all white - **Weekend Requirements:** - Minimum 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday day/night) per 6 week schedule period - Flexibility to work holidays --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
