Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. The RN will supervise ancillary staff, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to patient safety and successful patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) prior to first shift, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to first shift (CIRH only), a minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience preferred along with relevant education and training.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting is highly desired.
  • Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in patient education and discharge planning. Responsible for documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Provides supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures compliance with safety standards. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities after orientation and contributes to team-building activities. Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and staffing needs. Seeks opportunities for professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
