Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The RN will supervise nursing staff, promote safety, and participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification prior to first shift; valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (if applicable); zero years of experience minimum needed; valid nursing license; ability to perform assessments and implement patient care plans; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Adaptability to fast-paced environments; experience in progressive care or telemetry units preferred.
  • Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and collaborates with patients and families. Provides patient education and initiates discharge planning from day one. Ensures accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and responses. Delegates tasks appropriately and maintains safety and hygiene standards. Assumes charge responsibilities as needed and actively pursues professional development.
