Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Days Shift this position involves caring for intermediate medical patients and surgical overflow in a fast-paced 24-bed unit. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and performing specialized procedures as needed. The role requires adaptability to float within scope across different departments and units within the facility.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 2 years of related experience including telemetry; valid license; minimum 1-year experience preferred; located within 75 miles of the facility; no pending license restrictions.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intermediate care settings, telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and management of complex medical or surgical patients; additional skills in endocrine/metabolic, genitourinary/renal, pulmonary, neurological, and orthopedics is a plus.
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, therapy, pharmacy, and interpreters. Procedural skills include IV insulin protocols, dysrhythmia management, wound care, and use of Rapid Response Teams. Float within scope is typically required; open to block scheduling; no on-call responsibilities; pending license accepted.
• Travel & Location Rules: No local candidates within 75 miles; travelers must be certified in Kansas and Missouri or hold a compact license. RTO (Requested Time Off) approvals are limited to a maximum of 7 days, finalized at submission.
