Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse needs in a fast-paced environment. The position is scheduled for day shifts, requiring flexibility to float between units, including Med/Surg Intermediate and Neuro Stepdown, within a six-week scheduling cycle.

Job Details:

• Location: Healthcare facility (specific facility details omitted)
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/19/2026 to 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, NIHSS; Valid Missouri or Compact State license; 1-2 years of experience in a similar setting; nursing degree (RN) with relevant training; ability to work per unit protocols and SOPs; physical ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification; previous experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, and cardiac monitoring; experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias and emergency response; proficiency in managing IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Skills: Cardiac telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac cath care, wound care, sepsis management, GI care including feeding tubes, on-call availability, use of electronic health records, airvo, Voalte, Omnicell systems, and virtual nursing tools
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: NIH Stroke Scale; ability to float across departments; compliance with floating policy and local radius rules only accepting candidates outside 75 miles; maximum of 7 days RTO, with RTO finalized at time of submission; no guarantee of additional shifts beyond minimum scheduled hours; working in a team with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
