Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a float pool role requiring BLS/ACLS certification and prior high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P patients
• Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit at lower acuity levels
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar sized facility
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume, Level 1 trauma center required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma situations required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted

• Works within a Level 1 trauma center known for complex and high-acuity cases
• Minimal RTO availability
• Block scheduling generally not approved
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
