Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Step-Down Unit position requiring 2+ years of high-acuity trauma center experience.

Details

• Medical step-down unit with 6-20 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Possible float to all IMCU units, most commonly 5J and 12A
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling not typically approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases
