Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and Level 1 trauma center background.

Details

• Medical step-down unit with 16-20 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Cares for patients with Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma center required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, and complex cases required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma population
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
