Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN with telemetry and acute care experience for a 13-week assignment requiring an active HI RN license by start.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds, including 3 step-down ICU and 12 telemetry beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
• Uses Meditech charting, Pyxis medication system, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation with no guarantee of hours
• No call requirements
• Floating required to other acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment, with application required upon offer acceptance if not already held
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
• PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred

Additional Information

• Provide primary nursing care including telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar testing
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment, requiring arrival in Hawaii before a Monday start
• Scrubs required for dress code
