Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care/IMCU RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• IMCU/Progressive Care unit with 16-10 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, TDM2, substance abuse, and encephalopathy cases
• Administers Heparin drips
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• 48-hour weekly contract
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced patient situations in large-scale trauma environments

• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
