• Position: Mother/Baby Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Location: Seattle, WA 98122
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Assignment Length: 13 or 26 weeks
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required; 6 weekend days per contract
• Floating: Required to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery areas as needed
• Charting System: Epic experience required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Compact RN license in hand at time of submission, if applicable
• At least 2 years of experience in high-acuity postpartum, Mother/Baby, or couplet care
• Previous experience with high-risk obstetric patients strongly preferred
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to care for up to 4 couplets when census surges
• Experience with magnesium therapy, postpartum hemorrhage, Pitocin, Foley care, and substance withdrawal preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a flexible team mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate postpartum and couplet care for mothers and newborns
• Support recovery following delivery and monitor for complications
• Assess and manage patients with high-risk obstetric needs
• Administer and monitor therapies including magnesium and Pitocin as ordered
• Respond appropriately to postpartum hemorrhage and other acuity changes
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Float as needed to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery settings
• Deliver excellent patient education and family-centered support
