• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Setting: High-volume postpartum unit with high census and high-risk obstetric patients
• Float: May be required to float to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery areas

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Compact RN license in hand at time of submission, if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum, mother-baby, or high-acuity postpartum nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetric care experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS and NRP required
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage, pitocin, Foley care, and couplet care
• Ability to manage up to 4 couplets as needed
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to support float needs
• First-time travel nurses considered with the required experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to postpartum mothers and newborns
• Monitor recovery following delivery and support mother-baby bonding
• Assess fundus, lochia, perineum, and incision sites
• Support patients receiving magnesium therapy and assist with postpartum hemorrhage management
• Administer and monitor treatments such as pitocin and Foley care
• Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond to changing census needs and provide care for a diverse patient population
• Float as needed to nearby postpartum or labor & delivery areas for recovery support
