Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional goals
- Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and plan of care
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of DC or eligibility to obtain
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
