Physical Therapist

Job Details:

• Work in an acute care setting within a 378-bed hospital with service lines including orthopedic/elective joints, neurology, vascular, and general medical/surgical
• Target patient ratio of 8 patients per day in Acute Care and 4 patients per day in ARU/Rehab Unit
• Float between Adult Acute Care and/or Rehab Unit as needed
• Weekend availability required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Perform therapy evaluations and treatments
• Conduct patient screenings for appropriate therapy services
• Provide appropriate patient discharge recommendations
• Utilize DMEs and exercise equipment
• Document using Meditech EMR system
• Experience in Acute Care and ARU preferred
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Must be flexible to changing schedules and a fast learner receptive to training
• Required to follow HIPAA, TJC, hospital safety guidelines, and therapy care policies per APTA/AOTA guidelines
• Dress code: Olive green scrub tops and black scrub pants
• Up-to-date Texas therapy license required

The therapy department is well-staffed with 27 Physical Therapists, 19 Occupational Therapists, and 5 Speech Therapists, supporting a collaborative and dynamic care environment across both acute care and rehabilitation units.
