Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning across an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) and acute care hospital setting
- Manage a patient caseload of approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8–12 patients per day in acute care
- Participate in team conferences and provide family training as part of the care continuum
- Utilize adaptive devices and specialized equipment including therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, and an ADL Apartment
- Document patient care using the facility's EMR system (Meditech)
- Maintain active PT license and active BLS certification throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active state Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Willingness and ability to work on an IRF unit
- Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis in accordance with facility policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience (highly preferred)
- Stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation experience
- Flexible, collaborative team player comfortable working across multiple units within a large facility
