Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning across a 28-bed IRF and 383-bed acute care hospital
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8–12 patients per day in acute care
- Participate in team conferences and provide family training as part of the care continuum
- Recommend and utilize adaptive devices and equipment, including Vector, LiteGait, and ADL Apartment therapy gym resources
- Document patient care using the Meditech EMR system
- Maintain active PT license and active BLS certification throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Willingness and ability to work on an IRF unit
- Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
- Experience with stroke and/or neurological patient populations
- Flexible, collaborative team player comfortable working across multiple units within a large facility
