Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment, requiring a minimum of 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience.

Details

• Home health setting covering San Mateo and potentially surrounding counties
• Patient population includes geriatric home health patients and wound care cases
• Minimum 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for a 40hr guarantee
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call is discretionary, not required
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient
• Uses Kinnser/Wellsky charting system, all charting must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience required
• BLS certification required
• Current state PT license required at time of submission, with no history of license hits
• License required if applicable
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Current driver's license required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
• OASIS experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient-focused home health visits with an emphasis on wound care and geriatric populations
• Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
• Free residential parking provided
• COVID vaccination required with religious declination allowed; flu vaccination may be declined with documentation
• All required compliance documents must be completed before starting patient care, which may take 2-3 weeks
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made
• Contract length ranges from 4-6 months, with less experienced clinicians required to commit to a full 6 months
• Open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Ideal candidates are punctual, self-starters, and consistent with completing documentation
