Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital and outpatient clinic settings
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Treats patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric conditions
- Utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and specialty beds
- Performs modalities including cervical/lumbar traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, and ultrasound
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- CA state PT license required if applicable
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and patient/family education
- Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and post-op rehabilitation preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation
- May float between sister facilities within the same health system as needed
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Returning former employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Accepted at a lower bill rate for candidates within 50 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
