Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, CA state license required Must-Have: Previous charge experience. Charting system experience; Epic preferred. Experience with inpatient and outpatient settings for the adult population. Good time management skills and ability to work independently. Description: Seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting. The role primarily involves inpatient PT with possible mixed inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Candidates should have strong time management skills. The therapist may be the only PT on weekends and must be comfortable working independently. No wound care or specialized equipment handling will be required. Experience with various patient diagnoses is preferred, including but not limited to COPD, orthopedic conditions, and neurologic disorders. Familiarity with adaptive devices and mobility training is essential. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of treatment techniques and be capable of developing and implementing patient care plans. Successful candidates must provide care that prioritizes patient safety and comfort. Willingness to float between facilities if required may be necessary. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills for effective patient family education and interaction with interdisciplinary teams.
