    Opportunity:

    Outpatient Pharmacy Tech 3

    Job Details:

    • Provide technical support to pharmacists through preparation of unit doses, data entry, delivery of medications, and cart fill exchange
    • Ensure accountability and accuracy of standard operations procedures
    • Work under direct supervision of a Pharmacist responsible for safe and proper distribution and use of drugs
    • Serve patients ranging in age from neonates and infants to elderly patients over 65 years of age
    • Maintain automation dispensing cabinet movement and stock to accommodate patient needs
    • Handle and safely manage hazardous medications per regulatory guidelines
    • Prepare IV mixtures and compound sterile and non-sterile products
    • Prepare chemotherapy medications
    • Perform basic pharmaceutical mathematics calculations
    • Apply aseptic technique and sterilize laminar or horizontal flow hood
    • Manipulate dosage form devices including syringes and unit dose packaging
    • Ability to stand, walk, push or pull delivery carts, bend and reach for 6-8 continuous hours per day
    • Minimum 3 years of experience required
    • 1-3 years of mixing experience required
    • Oregon Pharmacy Technician License required and must be in hand at time of submission
    • CPHT certification required
    • Epic experience required
    • Community hospital experience preferred
    • Inpatient and outpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
    • Formal pharmacy technician training program preferred
    • Knowledge of generic and brand names of pharmaceuticals required
    • Experience with Omnicell required
    • Proficiency in ambulatory care and outpatient clinic settings required
    • Knowledge of controlled substance documentation and transfer regulations required
    • Candidates may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
