Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an OH or Compact RN license and current PICU experience with Level I trauma exposure.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a children's hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
• Epic charting system used and required

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required (CVPICU-only experience does not qualify)
• First-time travelers considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience and recent Level I trauma exposure
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Strong skill set required in respiratory care, IV therapy, cardiovascular monitoring, and pediatric medication administration
• Two supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one from a manager or supervisor

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in a Level I trauma teaching hospital environment
• Floating to other units is a standard expectation and point of emphasis for this facility
• Must be prepared to float to different units depending on assignment needs
• Candidates who have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• Local candidates are not eligible; a 60-mile radius rule applies
• First-time travelers will be considered with sufficient experience
