- Position Description: The Clinical Nurse (CN) in this role is an RN responsible for delivering hands-on nursing care to pediatric patients, practicing within the scope of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. The CN assesses patients, interprets data, plans, implements, and evaluates care, and educates patients and their families. The role emphasizes family-centered care, safety, and professional development.
- Required Qualifications: CA-RN (Registered Nurse) license, Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, 0-2 years related experience, effective communication in English.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The nurse will create a healing environment, monitor patient status, teach self-care and illness prevention, contribute to team activities, and engage in ongoing professional development. The role includes responding rapidly to clinical situations, ensuring safety, and participating in quality improvement activities.
