Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Stanford, California. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care within the scope of practice defined by regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. The ER Nurse will perform all steps of the nursing process, including assessing patients, interpreting data, planning and implementing care, and educating patients and their families to promote recovery and prevent complications.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN), current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), BSN from an accredited college or university preferred, effective communication skills in English, 1 year of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous ER experience, additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are advantageous.
- Additional Information: The primary responsibilities include creating a healing environment through patient presence and emotional support, performing rapid assessments, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop patient-centered care plans, providing patient and family education, and responding swiftly to emergency situations. The role also emphasizes continuous professional development, clinical teaching, and contributing to team and unit initiatives to improve patient care and safety.
