Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting within a hospital environment
- Pediatric patient population with a range of simple to complex cardiovascular health conditions
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of one year of CVICU experience required
- CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
- Basic computer proficiency required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians, and delegating tasks to support staff
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may reapply after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) on contract
- BSN is preferred but not required
