Position Overview:

We are seeking a strong and experienced PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 34-bed cardiac PCU/Telemetry and stroke overflow unit. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac and telemetry experience, be comfortable managing cardiac drips, and be ready to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS"

• 2+ years of recent PCU/Telemetry RN experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH required
• Epic experience within the last 12 months
  • Must be clearly listed on the resume
  • Resume must specify where Epic was last used
• Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
  • Must be clearly listed on the resume
  • Resume must specify where phlebotomy was last performed
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience managing cardiac medication drips
• Must be willing to float
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
• Solid black scrubs required
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage approximately 1:4–5 patient ratios

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac PCU/Telemetry patients.
• Care for stroke overflow patients and perform appropriate neurological assessments.
• Monitor patients requiring continuous telemetry.
• Manage and monitor cardiac medication drips.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood draws.
• Start and maintain IV access.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and recognize changes in clinical status.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including Epic documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Float to other units as required.

RTO & Scheduling Requirements:

• RTO must be provided at the time of submission
• Maximum 7 days of RTO accepted
• Candidates with more than 7 days will be automatically rejected
• No RTO during the first two weeks of the assignment
• No block scheduling requests will be accepted

Critical Resume Requirement:

Epic and phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months are mandatory. Both must be clearly documented on the resume, including where the candidate last used Epic and performed phlebotomy. Candidates without this information documented will not be considered.
