Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 24-bed mixed-acuity unit at the Barberton Campus. The unit primarily cares for medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring, with additional progressive-care and neurological patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong telemetry background and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of recent PCU/Telemetry RN experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH required
• Epic experience within the last 12 months
• Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
  • Both Epic and phlebotomy experience must be clearly listed on the resume
• Strong Telemetry experience
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
• Must be willing to float
• Interview required

Patient Population:

The unit primarily provides care for medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Patient populations may also include:

• Progressive-care patients
• Cardiovascular patients requiring medication drips
• Neurological patients requiring frequent NIH assessments
• COVID and other isolation patients

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mixed-acuity PCU/Telemetry patients
• Monitor patients requiring continuous telemetry
• Care for progressive-care cardiovascular patients, including those receiving medication drips
• Perform frequent neurological and NIH assessments
• Perform blood draws and phlebotomy
• Start and maintain IVs as required
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes in clinical status
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Follow appropriate isolation precautions
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to other units as required
• Maintain safe patient care within approximately 1:5–6 ratios

RTO & Scheduling Requirements:

• RTO must be provided at the time of submission
• Maximum 7 days of RTO accepted
• Candidates with more than 7 days of RTO will be automatically rejected
• No RTO during the first two weeks of the assignment
• No block-scheduling requests will be accepted

Epic and phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months MUST be clearly documented on the resume. Candidates must also have 2+ years of recent PCU/Telemetry experience along with ACLS, BLS, and NIH..
