Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in PCU, stepdown, or progressive care nursing
• Current, consistent specialty experience within the last 12 months required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry monitoring
• Experience with oxygen administration, peripheral line care, IV starts, and isolation precautions
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment with rapid response/code team support
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor-level reference
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to support timely clinical intervention
• Administer oxygen therapy and manage peripheral IV access and related care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support rapid response efforts and follow established unit protocols
• Float to other units within the organization as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive patient experience
